You can all make threatening gestures at me now, because I'm going to gripe that I really thought I was getting a 4.0 in o-chem. But the 3.9 in math (they're both the same class, but some weird transfer protocol makes two separate listings) is better than I thought, so that's great! And I will see what happened with chem later.

The 3.9 in Chem could also be a prof who just doesn't like giving out perfect grades.

(And you did 3.9 better than me in organic chem!)

Thanks. I'm really pretty happy about doing well, it's just weird how insecure I feel because I really want to do even better. Eventually I think I'll be able to stop fussing about that part.

I took classes at North this quarter, actually. I got my A.S. from SCCC after spring, but I was able to fit in a few more credits for transfer to the U, so I took them for cheap. North's a lot closer, and for science classes I think it's better than Central. You know how the chem and bio labs are kind of run down at Central because they're moving into a new building? North is a lot newer and they're not letting them decline yet, so that was good.

Wandered over from Elisem (because I also live in Seattle and was about to offer her a place to stay, but you beat me to it!)

I took Ast 100 from Tracy Furutani at North during fall quarter, it was great. Was he your Chem teacher?

Hi. How do you know Elise?

No, I had Jim Patterson for chem. He's a really nice guy, and teaches the basics well. I wanted a little more new information than I got out of the class, but that's not his fault.

I know Elise from when I lived in Mpls. 1980-90. And from Wiscon, and fandom in general, etc. I wandered by because I was going to offer her a place to stay during her visit in Seattle, but you beat me to it. (My housemate, [livejournal.com profile] janeehawkins, also knows her pretty well.
