jinian: (attack zero)

Last chem lab of the quarter: Really fun. I completely screwed up the calculations at first, but caught it in the first trial when things went horribly wrong. :) And doing titrations is fun, even if I did have to sit next to the guy who got two perfect ones in a row. Most of mine were quite good, but I was truly envious of his clear light pink.

Checking out of chem lab for the quarter: So satisfying. I wonder if we can ask for the same locker back next quarter? I am strangely attached to my twelfth test tube that's slightly bigger than the other eleven. The combination has been changed, but I want my glassware back.

Getting back the last chem exam: ARGH. I really messed this up because one of the questions was on something that wasn't in the book. Evidently we went over it the one day I was out of class due to the raging sinus infection. I mean, I know what the electron diffraction experiment he meant is, but, not having reviewed it in the last couple of years, I couldn't even remember whether it was one slit or two. Bleh. Well, I got a C-plus at least...

And for that reason calculating what I need to get on the chem final to avoid total GPA awfulness: I would have to seriously screw up on the final, on the order of flunking it, to not get the 2.2 I need to go on to CHE 150. While that's possible, I don't think it's likely. A 4.0 is definitely not within my reach, but if I rule I could get a 3.5. A perfect score on the final is vanishingly unlikely, though, because this teacher gives really long tests and grades them hard. I'll be pleased if I get over 3.0.

Last calculus class: Just review. I've really warmed to this teacher despite the early difficulties in connecting with him and the whole no-class-yet-quiz debacle, and I'm a bit sorry he isn't teaching any day classes in the next math course. He expressed confidence in my abilities tonight, which never hurts my liking for someone.

Still a full homework set and lab report to do for chem tomorrow: Again we have the ARGH. Should really be working on these now.

Finals are next Monday at 1pm for chem and Tuesday at 6pm for calculus. If anyone wants to pray-equiv for the chem in particular, it'd be appreciated.
