mighty vanquishing of schoolwork!

As of yesterday, I am completely caught up from being sick. I turned in the last of my late assignments, which will probably be marked down a bit for it, and I am now working on things that aren't even due tomorrow. WHEW.

Also started going to Anne's physics class for the end of this quarter, since they're going to be getting through more material than we managed in the short summer quarter. She was happy to see me, though I think she finds it a little weird that I'm coming in for what, in a one-word description, must be called "fun".

One more accomplishment, not about school, is that I am making socks for Wim, and the first one only has about half a dozen mistakes so far. :) (porcinea, I wanted to try your round-needle thing, but the Weaving Works people didn't seem to know about it, and I felt I needed local support for something as new as this. Will try it once I have the hang of the multi-needle method, though.)

Round needles for socks is an incredibly bad call, you don't usually have the circumfrence to justify it. I do socks with four needles.

You'd think so, wouldn't you? But Piglet's quite an accomplished knitter, so I tend to think that a method she likes is worth a shot. What do you think of this method (http://www.needletrax.com/toeupon2circulars.htm), which I think is the one she used? My eyes glaze over if I try to figure out a knitting pattern without trying any of it, so I haven't been able to evaluate it for feasibility.
