crow tricks
Nov. 20th, 2003 11:07 am(Also there was lightning and thunder last night. It was very exciting weather. Today is back to drizzle.)
I just saw a crow come up to land on the gutter of the house next door. It had something in its beak, maybe bread or lunchmeat, pale like that. It edged along the gutter, looking around, and then put its beakful down and dipped its head a couple of times. Drinking, I figured. Then it put its head into the gutter again and came up with a leaf, which it placed over the stuff it had carried there. It repeated that three more times, cocked its head to inspect its work, and flew away.
Now I really wish I could fly up there to see what its stash is.
