two days of good things

Yesterday:

1. Feeling antsy and weird but didn't have any looming tasks or activities, which was kind of great!

2. Napping.

3. Really good times with Wim, including an interesting conversation about pronouns.

4. Still really pleased with how great these Guys with Fancy Lady Hair look. Except for the Sass Bun, which, I'm sorry, was just inadvisable.

Today:

1. PAY DAY

2. The circular lawn at school was mowed in a circular pattern, and somehow no one was already sitting in the center of it when I went to eat the bento I virtuously made this morning. (And the smoked black cod from Uwajimaya was sooooo good.)

3. It's not that often I see TRULY AMAZING garments in the wild. Today: zori embellished with dozens of grape-sized black balls, plus a white seashell and pastel-rainbowed tropical fish. What.

4. I finished everything on my to-do list at work! And molecular cloning puzzles are the funnest puzzles.

2. Reading my diploma to my dad over the phone, with all its blackest letter and silly formality. And explaining again that Doctor of Philosophy means natural sciences too.

3. Well, I guess it is good to have the sort of job where I can generally spend extra morning time in bed with a heating pad when that's needed.

4. My Rock Band library now reflects my dorky 80s heart even more than it did before.
