committee meeting this morning

Whee argh. I got my reports all sent out last night, I have a presentation ready to go, room and projector are reserved. I got pastries at Pike Place (Le Panier), which is actually a lovely grounding thing to do in the morning. Still NERVOUS. Petting Capybara-san for strength.

PI totally bragged about me. "She did all that by herself!" "Even on the non-first-author papers she played a pivotal role. [example]"

K said it was the most enjoyable committee meeting she'd been to in a long time. And they all had constructive suggestions but mostly seemed really pleased with my progress and plans. YAY.

Now I kind of have no brain this afternoon, what with the undersleeping and choco-speediness and using all my intellectual capacity on the presentation. Oh well. I can harvest some nice seeds. And go hang out with marzipan_pig later to celebrate!
