Actually I am still in Nara because I have an epic stomachache, possibly from the mushroom restaurant! The university nurse came to see me in my room (!) and gave me anti-nausea and anti-pain pills, which are helping. It doesn't feel the same as the gut problem I get sometimes, but who knows. I am being very well cared for and should be fine soon. Hope to travel post-typhoon tomorrow.
