unbraided

I spent a while getting ready for the clothing swap before the Gathering opened, and went to lunch with a couple of people after we were all mostly set up. When I got back the donations had really started pouring in, and luckily so had my helpers. We were working hard to display everything when the doors opened, and we almost didn't notice. Lots and lots of people, some I remembered from last year and some new. I didn't get a chance to get my hair braided since there was only one braiding guy and I was busy when I heard last call for it. But I had a great time, as always. Next time I need to set up helpers for cleanup, though; people took off and by that time my feet and back had started to ache from running around for four hours, and it seemed to take an awfully long time to get things sorted out and sent off to charity.

Went to a panel, Dressing to Make a Statement; entertaining but little new content, though I learned about the existence of --> Brolita style. Sheesh.

Dinner with boxofdelights and two people from her panel, at Takara. (Not bad, fish seemed overpriced to coastal girl, chicken in my nabe udon tasted a little off so I didn't eat that part.)

I was planning to go to opening ceremonies, though they've missed more often than hit, but I decided that I was bloody tired and I would take a shower and put on pajamas. Next I intend to go to the vid party in my pajamas. Tomorrow morning, farmer's market! Yay! (Third day of very little sleep, though.)

Deadline had another great WTF moment at the end. Loved it.
