unproductive day

Rainy day. Feeling sad, crampy, headachey, generally low. I've got to do a mini-presentation on some of the Keystone talks at 1, so I'll probably use up what energy I have on that. Maybe I can go home and nap afterward. I appear to be demonstrating enough sense to eat a snack now, though, so that's good.

This does mean I'll probably finish posting my photos soon, since that counts as procrastination. There will be no hot tub pictures, sorry -- they are misty and blurred, and I resemble a cow (if cows came in bright pink).

No presentation today due to no audience -- good and bad, but lower pressure in the event. I expect to feel better by the time we reschedule.

And not only did I find Megan Whalen Turner's A Conspiracy of Kings, which I expected, but Elizabeth Moon's Oath of Fealty is out and I have it. Surprisingly, Oath won as reading-with-nachos over lunch; I suspect that Conspiracy may succeed Lifelode as treasured bedtime reading.

Glee state uncertain: the EMP's 2010 Pop conference is April 15-18. I am not normally a music geek, but. BUT. JANELLE MONÁE. And things like "In the Girls' Room: Pre-Internet Teen Girl Bedroom Culture" -- how great might that be? ...Oh no! Janelle Monáe conflicts with dance class! Now what?!
