wedding shower
Jul. 21st, 2003 02:35 pmWent to the wedding shower for Beautiful Cousin #2 yesterday. Oh. So. Boring. Also full of girls, gah. (One an I-am-not-joking Seafair Princess. Actually kinda liked her.) It is likely that the cross-~3-generational clientele is what kept any natural wedding-shower bawdiness from erupting fully, despite the valiant efforts of the stated lingerie theme.
Did get to respond to the shower scrapbook's blank about "in the news" with "Unprecedented invasions of citizens' privacy on the part of the government," not that I wanted to have to.
When I talked to Mom in the car on the way home afterward, she thought perhaps it would have been a good idea to tell that one woman off. (I'd pointed out that sexism is no good, and she said in not enough of an undertone, "I guess she hasn't learned yet." Grr.) But I didn't.
