in the desert I came upon an empty brownie pan

On our trip to Central Market last night, Wim and I purchased not only a great array of strange Asian food (though not the canned "gouramy fish", eek) but also brownie mix. This is important because we are lazy. Dairy-free brownie mix is the way to go when watching Mahoromatic! The icing was the thing that made the brownies godlike and me dangerously smug, though -- we melted chocolate and stirred in some "better than cream cheese, tm" icing that I'd been keeping in the freezer in case of dairy-free carrot cake. Very tasty. My glory will live on eternally.
