no Iraq war
Jan. 17th, 2003 11:05 amSaw kids trooping down to the Seattle Center house on my way to work this morning. They were chanting "No war [something something]" and carrying "No Iraq war" signs and homemade pro-peace signs. Talk about heartwarming. They couldn't have been out of junior high yet.
Saw and talked to a tall man with anti-war signs at QA and Mercer. He was really happy someone was talking to him. He's called Mike, and he's one of the people responsible for those car-top signs that some of us have seen around town. After borrowing a pen, he wrote his web address down for me. I think I might go to their Buzz session tonight; apparently, I am an official Queen Anne Neighbor by virtue of working down here.
Shut Down the Town will probably be soon.
It's a beautiful, clear day, and I'm pretty sure that's a battleship moving out of the bay.
