quarter magic?

I finished Half Magic the other day, after reading it in fits and starts as is appropriate for a kids' book. This morning I found a rather mistreated quarter in the alley behind my apartment building. My test wish to see if it works was to find a perfectly good DVD player that I could have, sometime today. I'll see what happens. (It is definitely an ordinary quarter, though, not an ancient talisman.) If it works and I can figure out the way of it, I'm wishing jobs for a lot of people.

I love Something Positive. I really wonder what the Care Bear is going to come out as, and the resemblance to a certain infamous Cricket Cricket phrase disturbs me.
