why I stayed up late

... and kept working on it well after that.



There is a very small amount of the original color left open. It's peeking around the trunk. I had to add some extra rocks, and I left out a shed that should be there. I got the tree-jewelry, though.

half-birthday addendum

There have been questions. Festivities are expected to commence in the evening around 7. Those arriving earlier will be considered volunteers and put to work preparing.

And now I will go to bed so I don't have to cancel the whole thing due to exhaustion. Good night!
