Feb. 24th, 2002 12:25 amI finished painting my bowl at the pottery place -- blue with purple morning glories along the inside edge and a daisy in the bottom, plus some sort of abstract leafy bits on the outside and a white pinstripe of which I am quite proud. It got late, though. We'd gone to the pho place beforehand and taken an ice cream break, so I had to work a little past 9 to get it all done. I did gain the valuable knowledge that a double-scoop waffle cone at Baskin-Robbins is a hell of a lot of ice cream.
rubricity and I went to Stella's afterward, since she was hungry and I figured I probably should have been. The waiters all smiled at me, which I figured out upon coming home might've been because I looked pretty today. Go me. We had a nice conversation and I ate lots of roasted garlic and yummy ricotta. Sadly, the bread provided did quite a good job of lacerating my mouth in a Cap'n-Crunch-like fashion. I have mostly recovered, but being stabbed in the gum by a crusty stiletto isn't my idea of a good time.
I had met
rubricity's dog on the way home. He was more energetic than he might otherwise had been, since he had just eaten a can of frosting and some leftover cookies. What he did to the frosting container cannot be truly described in text. My cats knew nothing of that, but they were very nervous nonetheless. All three of them had to sniff the hand that had scratched the belly of the cuddleslut dog before I was provisionally approved as me, and they still look a little concerned. They've never met a dog. Sheesh.

elynne. It might be useful to have a small assembly line, though. Does anyone else feel willing to brave the messy apartment for the sake of creating tasty treats? Probably only a few people would fit.
