epiphany/duh, now with more duh

Realized this morning as I woke up and tried to pull the now-perpetual knots out of my shoulders that hey, maybe the reason I keep missing my friend Kevin so badly is that he is a friend from school and now I'm in school again. I missed him off and on before, but he's showing up in dreams and stuff now, so I'm glad to have a reason for it.

Also duh: If it weren't for Sputnik the G3 laptop, I would be expecting Mom for our 11am outing about an hour early. Damned time changes.

heh. someone came into work more than an hour early, meaning one of us there-for-an-hour-extra folks got to leave early.

my computer lives in its own special time zone and we like it that way.
