The only possible explanation for the way that my pant legs have begun to catch on my bike gears is that my calves have shrunk. That is a weird result to get from riding a bike, but I don't know what else it could be. I find it... ironic? No, just annoying, that bike riding is causing bike riding to become more difficult.

Riding up to the Fremont Bridge today, I heard the "bridge is going to open" horn. I had found out on Solstice that it doesn't necessarily mean "bridge is going to open right away", so I didn't hurry much. Then I heard the bell! I zoomed up all speedy-like and stood beside the bridge with my hand on the footing to feel the machinery moving inside. (Our relationship is progressing. I haven't touched it like that before.) I'd gotten there just as it was nearly all the way open, so I watched it finish opening and a big fishing boat go through. As the bridge went down, clanking and humming, I noticed a crow walking around on the supports on the underside of the bridge half across from me. It strutted and hopped along the horizontal part of a beam, and then when the horizontal part became vertical, it switched to the new horizontal. Perhaps it was on a dare? It was obviously enjoying itself. I watched it until the bridge had closed completely, and it didn't fly off. As I rode away, I saw a crow come flying from underneath the bridge to swoop up and land on one of the towers.

I think I have a metamour. :)
Big idiot. Go hide under rock now. Possibly beat head against rock as well.

Argh.
