outside the window
Jan. 16th, 2003 04:00 pmI don't understand people who say "cloudy all the time" as if it were nothing special. We have the prettiest skies here.
Peachy-gray, medium gray, pearly gray-white, and a little turquoise down the east are being overtaken by deep zigzags of ripply white and smudgy slate. Behind the zigzag frontlines are planes of peach-yellow, pale gray ripples perpendicular to the flow, and a keyhole into a realm of puffy little whites with suggestions of blue between. At the horizon there are globs and puffs and shapes like fish, gray lines and bright lines on yellow, and a drippy border near the bright area where the sun's hiding.
Boring? What? I can't even finish describing it before it's beautiful in a different way.
