weather report

peach and yellow and blue and slate clouds are zooming by, the sun is low to disappearing (good night, bright star!), and the rust-orange of a maple tree is coordinating with the church's brick. the light just went on at the new Mexican place. I have a lot of crazy plants that are still flowering, but I think the tomato's finally done for. the steeple matches the sky but not the clouds.

low-hanging lilac fog over the bay
orange maples, all over sunshine
the eagle and globe of the P-I stilled this morning
steam floating in an unruly banner from a building top and mixing into the fog
