I keep wanting to put it on my head

It is --> pretty. I had to paint red onto it three or four times, waiting for it to dry every time, before I got the saturation I was happy with, so it took some time. For those of you who saw my earlier adventures, this is what silk painting looks like on silk chiffon, as opposed to cotton broadcloth. (Obviously there's no resist this time, so it's a very different sort of thing, but the colors bleed differently on the silk. I'll report on how the silk habotai goes.)

In other news, I have figured out the thing in Photoshop that was kicking my ass. Go me.

Maybe I can start wearing veils over my hair. I've been thinking for a while that I kind of like the idea of not just anyone seeing one's unbound hair, but it is a lot of trouble to commit to that kind of thing. A painted veil with little combs might be just the thing.

In the meantime, you can use those little almond-shaped metal barrettes (the ones that you have to pop bent to open and pop bent the other way to close) to hold both your hair and the veil; I've done that for costuming, and it works pretty well with thin fabric.

Happily, I have a hand-painted silk scrunchie to appease me. Actually, I have three. One is purple and gold irises, this one is orangy-purple-pink sunset, and one is all browny-copper me-tones.
