There is a very small amount of the original color left open. It's peeking around the trunk. I had to add some extra rocks, and I left out a shed that should be there. I got the tree-jewelry, though.

Something about the silk resist just did not get along with the fabric on this one, so there was a lot of leakage and having to go back and re-resist bits. It all turned out pretty well in the end, but there were some horribly frustrating moments.

I wish I could do branches as cool as that. I forget about things going on in the background, as if everything I can see must also start in the foreground, where I can see it too. It ends up being very 2-dimentional. but yours is great! I want to fabric paint too! :)

Well, I did copy it directly off the movie. :)

I have a bunch of silk colors now, and I am splurging and buying a bolt of silk chiffon from Dharma, so you will certainly be able to paint.

Ah. I missed the reference. :) I'm so dopey! When My friend JT had a baby, her mother-in-law embroidered totoro quilt blocks and made a baby blankie for her. So cute! I think she used a coloring book.

Not yet, but rumor has it that there are DVDs available at Scarecrow. Not sure they're the right region, but I intend to check. Have you seen it? Is it good?

Yes, I received it from Amazon Japan over a month ago. It's very good, I'd say it's almost as good as Princess Mononoke.

I ripped two images here (http://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?journal=ashley_y&itemid=46351), though the first one ended up a little more pinkish than it is on the DVD.
