Hey, haven't I seen this on a Blank White Card somewhere? I don't recognize the location. Anyone? Has the phenomenon spread beyond Seattle?
It's nice when studies support what I think, like this theory of memory. I hadn't done any experimentation, even in thought, really, but their explanation matches the vague mental premise I've been working with for a while (based on anecdote and experience).

Looks like Sydney has gotten a little farther with wireless networking than Seattle. (At least, when last I heard Seattle Wireless hadn't done a whole lot. If it's changed, I am happy.

The 5K is back! This is the first time I've heard about it before it was over. Maybe I'll actually be able to come up with something.
And then we have something extremely cool that did not take only 5k. It even takes Javascript, and I still love it. Check out the Panopticon, which cooperatively keeps track of people's locations at the Emerging Tech Con. So. Cool.
Celine Dion ate my iMac, but I can circumvent CD copy protection with markers and electrical tape! (Oh, now the police would like to speak with me...)
