I personally can get fresh mangosteen in the US, yep. (I mean, not that fresh, the rind's pretty dried out, but not canned or anything.) Uwajimaya has it here, though I have no idea how widely it's distributed. There's a sign on it saying it was irradiated and thus is okay with the USDA as of 2007. $13/lb, though!
