busy Thanksgiving weekend

Lots of fun stuff, just an awful lot of it, and the traditional holiday menstrual period showed up at the last minute too. Two visits on Thursday, one to my parents' (where Dad seemed in good spirits and was wearing the socks I made him, yay!) and one to see Wim's sister at brother-out-law's parents' house (always gracious but always feels stilted; however, always massive dessert load). Relaxing day Friday, helpful to girls with colds that appear not to be pertussis despite exposure. Saturday I was still feeling crummy, so Wim went without me to lunch with his mom on Bainbridge. Sunday my painkillers and I felt able to go to brunch with Wim's dad's side, though I had not realized it was to be Epic Brunch and could've used more naproxen toward the end.

Today so far is rather deadly: cramps, continued prep for my much-delayed lab meeting presentation, multiple incidences of PI on warpath, heat broken in my building.
